Service of Thanksgiving and Remembering

Saturday 11 September

3-4pm

The pandemic has touched all of our lives, in so many ways.  We think it is really important to spend time collectively, remembering those we have lost, giving thanks for those who have helped us and looking forward to the future in hope.

This event is for anyone from the local community who wants to attend.

During the service we will have an act of remembrance during which we will be naming and remembering those who have died, not only from Covid-19 but at any time during the pandemic.

We are also going to spend time giving thanks for the many blessings we have received and for the work of so many people over this challenging time: key workers, the NHS, local foodbanks, our family, friends and neighbours.

At the event you can expect some hymns, a time of reflection, an interview with a key worker, an act of remembrance, time to giving thanks for those who have worked so hard for us all during the pandemic, some Bible readings and a short talk.  Refreshments will be served in the hall following the service.

The event will be live-streamed.  If you are attending the service, please be aware that, depending on where you are sitting, you may be visible in the live-stream although all cameras will be pointing directly to the front of the stage.

If you are wanting to attend this event, please register here.

If you would like to speak with someone about this event and/or know more before registering, please contact the office on 020 8390 2372 or email office@emmanueltolworth.org.uk.
