Children are an integral part of the Church Family at Emmanuel. Our aim is to teach them about Jesus and what it means to follow him.

There are groups for children on Sunday morning during our main service at 10.30am, after the children have spent some time with the adults in the service. Both the service and the children’s groups finish at 11.45am.

We aim to engage even the youngest children during our monthly 50:50 services, which take place on the first Sunday of each month (so there are no children’s classes on these Sundays) and is a slightly shorter service, finishing at 11.30am. On most fourth Sundays we share communion together as a whole Church Family at the beginning of the service, before the children go to their classes.

JAM stands for Jesus and Me and meets during the 10.30am Morning Service for ages 3-11 (Year 6). Children start off in the service with the rest of the church family before heading out to their group for age-specific teaching. They enjoy learning about the Bible through games, songs, craft and stories whilst having loads of fun!

Holiday Club

Each year, usually during the Easter School break, we run a 4 day holiday club for children in primary school.  Please stay tuned for details of our 2020 Holiday Club.

Fantastic Light Party and Halloween Outreach

Each year we hold our Fantastic Light Party on 31st October because we want to offer our children an alternative to Halloween; an evening of fun, games, food and a chance to celebrate Jesus being the light of the World. The party is open to children in school year 1-6 and it is free, we just ask that you RSVP to the church office.  Friends very welcome!  Outside the Church on Halloween we serve free hot chocolate and give out Bags of Hope to those passing by the Church.  Please drop in to see us!
