CAMEO

We are so excited to be launching our new, monthly daytime group for older adults called CAMEO- come and meet each other.

The aim of this new group is to open our doors to our community and provide an encouraging space to feel at home, engage with other local people, enjoy some refreshments, have some fun and learn something interesting.  We want people to feel welcome, connected and supported.

CAMEO will meet on the 3rd Wednesday of each month 2-4pm and the sessions are free.  The dates for this term are 15 October, 19 November and 17 December.

At each session there will be various tables set up with activities such as: puzzles/board games, ping pong, crafting, quizzes and even one with the day’s papers.  Think of it as a youth club for adults.  There will be coffee, tea and cakes served throughout and we aim to have a guest speaker some weeks who may provide practical help (e.g. Citizen’s advice, chair pilates), spiritual help (we are a church after all) and for this term, each session will finish with a brief look at a well-known hymn.  We will look at the author and the circumstances of how the hymn came to be written and then those who wish can join in with singing the hymn.

CAMEO is free and open to everyone local to Emmanuel and further afield.

If you have any questions, please contact the Emmanuel office (020 8390 2372 / office@emmanueltolworth.org.uk).

See you on 15 October!
